Compound Health Assistant Terms of Use (UK)

1. Relationship with Compound Terms and Conditions

1. These Health Assistant Terms of Use (Health Assistant Terms) form part of and are subject to Compound’s general Terms and Conditions (Compound Terms). The Compound Terms apply to your use of Health Assistant to the extent they are not modified by these Health Assistant Terms. Words defined in the Compound Terms have the same meaning in these Health Assistant Terms.
2. To the extent there is any inconsistency between these Health Assistant Terms and the Compound Terms, these Health Assistant Terms prevail to the extent of any inconsistency in relation to your use of Health Assistant.

2. No medical advice or purpose

1. Health Assistant may make available to you content which includes diet, exercise and lifestyle recommendations, and other materials to help you meet your health, fitness, and weight loss goals. Health Assistant is not providing any form of medical service and the material provided (including any recommendations and any information that may appear personalised) may not be appropriate for you
2. Health Assistant is not intended to provide medical advice, or to be involved in diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of any disease, injury, or health condition.  Health Assistant is not intended to be a substitute for consulting a healthcare professional. All information available through Health Assistant is for general informational purposes only.  You should not make any decisions about your health based solely on Health Assistant output.
3. If  you have a question about your treatment or a medical condition, you can ask Health Assistant to redirect you to our medical support team, or you can contact them directly here.  If you experience a medical emergency, call 999. You should never disregard medical advice or delay in seeking medical advice because of any conversation you have with Health Assistant. 

3. Accuracy and Limitations of AI

1. Health Assistant uses artificial intelligence (AI), and while we and our AI partners have carefully trained Health Assistant, AI responses may sometimes contain errors, inaccuracies, or be incomplete. Information provided by Health Assistant may not always be up-to-date. You should verify any information provided by the Health Assistant before relying on it. The Health Assistant’s responses are generated without human intervention in real-time and may not represent or convey the views or advice of Compound, or any of its staff.
2. The Health Assistant is not capable of making formal offers of products, services, or any other form of transaction on behalf of Compound, and cannot enter into or facilitate any contract, agreement, or binding obligation on behalf of you or Compound.
   

4. User Conduct

1. You agree not to use Health Assistant for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm Compound, its users, or any third party. Prohibited uses include:
   1. generating content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable;
   2. attempting to bypass safety filters or instructions; 
   3. using the Health Assistant to generate malicious code or facilitate illegal activities;
   4. impersonating any person or entity or misrepresenting your affiliation; and
   5. Using the Health Assistant in a manner that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others.

2. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Health Assistant and Compound’s wider services if you violate these terms.
   

5. Intellectual Property

1. Members of Compound corporate group retain all relevant rights, title, and interest in Health Assistant and its content, and our AI partners retain certain rights in the technologies used.  Subject to your compliance with these terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the output generated by Health Assistant for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Health Assistant or its content without our express written permission.

2. This clause 4 (Intellectual Property) survives the termination of your use of Health Assistant.

6. Changes and Availability

1. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Health Assistant feature, or any part thereof, at any time without prior notice or liability to you.

7. Privacy and Use of Data

1. Your conversations with Health Assistant are subject to our Privacy Notice. 

8. Disclaimers

1. Compound is not responsible for any results that may or may not be obtained from your use of the Health Assistant.  To the extent permitted by law, Compound disclaims all liability arising from your use of Health Assistant, including any harm or loss resulting from reliance on Health Assistant’s outputs, whether due to inaccuracy, error, or omission in AI-generated responses.
2. You understand that a weight loss program including medication, diet, and exercise carries certain inherent and significant risks of bodily injury or death, and that you voluntarily assume all known and unknown risks associated with these activities.  You may always consult a member of the Compound medical team for information about these risks, and should always contact a professional in person before trying physical exercise activities that are new or different to you.
3. This clause 8 (Disclaimers) survives the termination of your use of Health Assistant.
